Hi to all our friends. Hope you are enjoying your summer holidays. Have just had a visit from our great friends Alex and Scott Franklin. They gave us lots of news and we had a fun time together. Learning a bit of French : Callum says his favourite phrase is "au revoir lapin!" and Dan likes to say "c'n'est pas tres confortable pour moi comme ca" (it's not very comfortable like that!)
Favourite food of the moment : chocolate filled croissant.

Callum's picture of a lock :

A lobster was reading a comic. A crab scuttled up to him and said, "Can I read that after you?" The lobster said "no". So the crab said " you are so sssshhhelfish".

Sea Monster :
Down upon his sandy bed,
the monster turned his slimy head,
licked and grinned his salty lips,
and ate another bag of fish and ships!

Did you know?
Grebes feed their chicks feathers for the first meal after they have hatched. This helps to protect their delicate stomachs from sharp, pointy fish bones.

Sea Serpent :
The sea serpent saw a big tanker,
bit a hole in her side and sank her,
swallowed her crew in a minute or two,
then picked its teeth with the anchor.

Books you must read :
The effects of waves by Rufus Sweptoff
The story of Titanic by Mandy Lifeboats
The Sea by Miss T. Waters
Ducks by I.C.A Bird
Kingfisher Watching by B.Quiet

There was an English cat called "one, two, three" and a French cat called "un, deux, trois" standing waiting to cross a river. Both were afraid of water, so the English cat suggested that they race across to make it more fun. Who won?

"One, two, three" won because "un, deux, trois" CAT SANK!

Shall we tell you a joke about the high wall?
No. Can't tell you because you will never get over it!

Boy walks into pet shop and asks...
Have you any dogs going cheap?
No. They go woof.

A big fish swallows lots of little fish and says, "MMMM. I love school dinners!"
