The local folk of the Environment Agency have been very helpful. They have allowed us to stay at the moorings downstream of the lock until we can check the health of the bow thruster. A diver is due to come next Thursday the 15th, so until then, we are enjoying full use of parking adjacent to the barge and the whole family is thoroughly enjoying the combination of good weather and cycling along the towpath to nearby restaurants, town centres and play parks.
A "for sale" sign is displayed on Love Me Tender and this is creating a lot of passing interest.
We are also having fun fielding random questions.... How did you get that boat on your deck? Well, we sank the barge and floated it on. This seems to be an acceptable answer!!
